Why youth find taboo intoxicating

You know, they call us the Taboo generation for very good reason.

We are the pierced, the tattooed, the ravers and the hardcore dancers. The artists and the desk jockeys. We are the pulse of the night, the ones who are up till sun up and down for whatever.

When we can’t see it your way we make our own way. If the path isn’t clear, we make our own light.  Whether we are paintballing, off-roading, moshing, or drifting, we’re outside the norm.

You never know where you’ll find taboo: The straight-laced businessman who skateboards after work; the high society girl who can always be found amid a cloud of dust at a street dance. We are the yogis, the kick boxers, the political upstarts and the hustlers.
We go against the grain, and we keep climbing higher.  

They call us the Taboo generation. They say we are the Taboo generation as if it were a bad thing. But if you’re not Taboo, then what are you?

The next time you step outside of the norm, or each time you make your own way when you refuse to conform, and at each brush with forbidden glory, you get a taste of Taboo.
